Member listings
When someone on Vancouver Island lists an item, service, job, rental, or wanted post for sale, it appears under Listings in browse and search. These are real marketplace posts from LOCORA members — with photos, prices, and messages between buyer and seller.

Website directory
The Directory tab in browse highlights Vancouver Island websites — local businesses, organizations, and community resources. Each entry is one site’s main page with a title and summary from its meta tags.
- Submitted by members who suggest a relevant local URL
- Reviewed and indexed by our team — one page per site
- Shown under the same categories so you can discover Island sites while you shop

Know a local business, maker shop, or community site that belongs in our directory? Members can suggest its main URL. After review, we add one listing per site — title and description from that page’s meta tags, not a full-site crawl.

- Submit the website’s homepage or primary landing page and suggested category
- Our team reviews and indexes that single page if approved
