About this Park

A tree fringed lake southeast of Lumby preferred by solitude-seeking swimmers and sunbathers. Listen for the echo that gives the lake its name. With clear turquoise coloured water and excellent fishing for rainbow, lake trout and kokanee, Echo Lake is a popular recreation destination.

There are no provincial camping facilities available at this park. Private camping is available through Echo Lake Resort. Please check the Echo Lake Resort website to reserve a camping stay and for information on the services they provide.

Located southeast of Lumby off Highway 6, onto gravel road for 20km.

  • 86:Fishing Echo Lake is a popular fishing lake in both the summer and winter season for rainbow, lake trout and kokanee.

  • 86:Pets on leash Pets/domestic animals must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in beach areas or park buildings. You are responsible for their behaviour and must dispose of their excrement. Backcountry areas are not suitable for dogs or other pets due to wildlife issues and the potential for problems with bears.
