Wire Cache Park
About this Park
Wire Cache Park has a series of old river bends in the North Thompson River as well as wetland habitats with old growth cottonwood, spruce and cedar. No camping or day-use facilities are provided here.
Location notes
Located 90 km northeast of Clearwater, on the south side of the North Thompson River. Road access is poor. There is potential for a river pullout area. The closest communities are Clearwater, Vavenby, Avola, Blue River and Kamloops.

- 9740:Canoeing A canoe or kayak is necessary to access the North Thompson River in this area. Always exercise caution when navigating the North Thompson River. Sweepers and log jams may not always be visible in advance.

- 9740:Wildlife viewing There are wildlife viewing opportunities in this park.
- 9740:Pets on leash Pets and domestic animals must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in beach areas or park buildings. You are responsible for their behaviour and must dispose of their excrement. Backcountry areas are not suitable for dogs or other pets due to wildlife issues and the potential for problems with bears.
- 9740:Hunting The discharge and carrying of firearms is permitted in this park for the purposes of hunting during open season. Please consult the BC Government Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis for more information. Contact BC Parks at parkinfo@gov.bc.ca with any specific questions.
- 9740:Winter recreation Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are permitted but there are no designated trails.
