Caligata Lake Park
About this Park
A small cirque basin containing an attractive lake, highly diverse plant communities and wildlife habitat. The area offers wonderful hiking opportunities to see wildflowers, as well as backcountry skiing in the winter.
Safety information
- Bring your own drinking water, as potable water is not available in the park.
- No camping or day-use facilities are provided.
Location notes
The park is located near Raft Mountain, approximately 160 km north of Kamloops, northeast of the town of Clearwater. Access to the park is via 13 km of logging road up Spahats Creek, which is north of Clearwater on the Wells Gray Park Road.
Activities
- 9716:Hunting The discharge and carrying of firearms is permitted in this park for the purposes of hunting during open season. Please consult the BC Government Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis for more information. Contact BC Parks at parkinfo@gov.bc.ca with any specific questions.
- 9716:Hiking A trail provides access into the park from Spahats Creek Road. For your own safety and preservation of the park, obey posted signs and keep to designated trails. Shortcutting trails destroys plant life and soil structure.
